I am pretty sure all of you need more time to complete this script. Today is the extra day for that, much like we usually give you in class. SO PLEASE complete the script today. On Thursday we will talk about recording this.
   

At this point you should have done all of the “writing” parts above to have a full script concerning Upward Mobility in America.  If we go back and add up all the sentence requirements you should now have a script that is anywhere between 34 and 40 sentences. THIS is your script that we will soon be recording in some form to turn in this project!!! You are almost done!!!

Monday- Day 155

2. Start of a new unit: We will look at the role technology plays in society and the impact censorship has on our society.  We are going to you thinking about the issues in the book before we actually start it.  Please complete the following:
      - Complete the "what's your position" document
      - Go to Schoology (yes, we are going to use Schoology) and complete the discussion thread
           - Post one response you have from your doc into discussion thread in Schoology
           - Please reply to two people's comments in the discussion thread
           - Posts and replies are due by MIDNIGHT THURSDAY

3. Google Meet @300 pm to 330 pm

HW-Make sure you complete the Gatsby Essay.  We will begin grading these on May 4th.

Friday-Day 154

2. Day #5: Conclude your script that you have developed over the last several days. By giving your last “shout out” concerning YOUR OWN opinion on this entire unit and say something about gentrification.

This should amount to 8-10 sentences
AT this point (or over the weekend) you should be done with the written script. Next week you will be reading these in Wevideo and adding some pictures!! Almost done with this project, Gatsby and the UNIT!!!

Start Looking for the Fahrenheit 451 books we gave you before we left school. We will be jumping into those in May!!

Wednesday-Day 143 (Work Day)

1. Today is a work day.  You should be getting caught up with what you are are missing.  You should do the following:

A. Upward Mobility Project (We just have to cover Gentrification and then we will begin the project on Friday.  I will make a video to explain the project along with written directions.)
      - Watch this VIDEO
- Read this article  “How Gentrification Takes Shape Across Chicago Neighborhoods”
      - Create a google document, call it "Gentrification Summary" and explain both the video and the article in about 8-10 sentences.  It's just a summary, no need to cite evidence.
         Make sure you put the document in your ENGLISH folder to be graded.

B. Continue with your Gatsby Essay or any other work that will still be accepted (here's a secret, it will ALL be accepted) YES DO ALL YOUR MISSING WORK!
